A supporter of Maria Montessori, poet and polymath Rabindranath Tagore said, “The highest education is that which does not merely give us information but makes our life in harmony with all existence.” That is Cosmic Education. It is an exploration of the universe and its indivisible unity. It is a discovery that everything is connected, every creature has a “cosmic task”–working to contribute to balance and harmony. It is a call towards respect and responsibility–if everything has a place in our shared universe and everything has a unique role, what then is mine? Cosmic Education is the core of Montessori, an education of peace.
